Paul Livingston Vintage Coin Jewelry WESA 2021Paul Livingston - Vintage Turquoise & Coin Jewelry

The first Pueblo silversmiths had silver coins as a source for metal, and ‘coin silver’ is a term used to describe vintage Native American jewelry that was forged using early American or Mexican silver coins.

Today, coin jewelry inspired by years gone by is a collectible and favored form of handmade jewelry in the Southwest. While Native American jewelry today is generally made with sterling sheet and wire, the coin jewelry available on the market today can be styled as modern creations or vintage collectibles.

This year at WESA, shop new styles of turquoise sampler vintage coin jewelry featuring Walking Liberty & Liberty coins and Morgan coins with a wide date range, all surrounded by a sampling of turquoise from various American mines.

For those of you who can't make it to the WESA Trade Show, you can still browse our stock of coin jewelry online.
